Uzbekistan's most famous destinations are spread across the country, mainly along the east-west route connecting the major historical cities.

 

Places such as Muynak, Nukus, Khiva, Bukhara and Samarkand are connected by road, making a private road trip a great way to discover not only the famous sights but also the landscapes and everyday life between them.

Travelling by minivan gives us the freedom to go beyond the standard tourist route.

For example, on the way from Bukhara to Samarkand, we can make a detour into the Kyzylkum Desert, spend the night in a traditional yurt camp and continue to Lake Aydarkul the following day. Depending on the season and your interests, you can swim in the lake, relax on its sandy shore or simply enjoy the peaceful desert landscape.
