Chimgan Tour – Amirsoy Resort, Lake Charvak & Khojikent

Duration: 8-9 hours

This day trip to the Chimgan Mountains is a perfect way to add nature and adventure to your journey through Uzbekistan. Just outside Tashkent, you’ll enjoy fresh mountain air, stunning landscapes of the Western Tien Shan, and delicious local food.

In the morning, I will pick you up from your hotel in Tashkent and drive toward the mountains. On the way, we’ll pass Chirchik, orchards, villages, and scenic countryside while I share stories about the region.

Our first stop is Amirsoy Resort, where we’ll take a cable car up to 2,290 meters for breathtaking panoramic views. Afterward, we’ll continue to Charvak Lake, stopping briefly at the Chimgan ski resort for a short walk or optional horseback ride.

At Charvak, we’ll visit a viewpoint overlooking the turquoise lake and surrounding mountains, as well as the impressive Charvak Dam.

In warm weather, you can enjoy optional activities such as swimming, a boat ride, or paragliding.

Later, we’ll head to the village of Khojikent for lunch at a traditional teahouse. After lunch, we’ll take a short walk to see ancient petroglyphs, an 800-year-old chinar tree, and a spring-fed pond with trout. In spring, we may also visit a beautiful mountain waterfall.

In the evening, I’ll drive you back to your hotel in Tashkent, concluding a relaxing and memorable Chimgan and Charvak day tour.

Tour Itinerary:

09:00 Depart by crossover or van to Amirsoy Skiing Resort.

10:30 Take a ride on a cableway to 2290 m. peak.

Charvak Lake is a highly popular destination during the summer months. We will have a stop to capture photos of the stunning lake. If you wish, you can take a refreshing swim in the lake or try your hand at paragliding for a thrilling experience.
